All past models of the allegro (Cx, Mx, Qx) have had the 12V barrel plug style charging port. Every allegro I've had has had issues with the vehicle charger making a good connection and maintaining charging. I have to wrap the charge cable around the unit to keep tension on the plug for it to make connection and charge the unit. Works but not ideal. A different style charging port would be better. Perhaps a USBC charging port.
